US commits to cybersecurity coalitions

Nextgov reports the U.S. agreed to join the EU on the Paris Call for Trust and Security in Cyberspace, a joint initiative addressing cybersecurity and other issues related to internet activities. Meanwhile, the U.S. and Israel forged a separate coalition dedicated to combating ransomware attacks. Brazil’s Ministry of Justice created a commission focused on decreasing instances of online fraud, ZDNet reports. The commission will take up various mitigation efforts, including creation of a fraud data sharing platform as well as training security personnel on cybersecurity and digital fraud matters.
