Experts have determined the reason for the leakage of data from the video streaming service Twitch, which specializes in the subject of computer games. The third-party gained access to a total of 125 gigabytes of information stored on the platform.

The cause of the unpleasant situation was an error in the server configuration. To protect users, Twitch has dropped all streamer keys used to log into live-streaming apps. Experts continue to assess the possible consequences of a data breach.

As a result of an earlier hacker attack on Twitch, attackers managed to steal and publish on the Web, in particular, personal information about bloggers’ income and video streaming service tools. It is possible that passwords from accounts belonging to users of the site were also stolen.
