Saudis Paid Twitter Worker Accused Of Spying, Jury Told

By Bonnie Eslinger (July 29, 2022, 10:54 PM EDT) — An ex-Twitter employee accused of helping Saudi Arabia spy on users deemed critics of the royal family received over $100,000 and a luxury watch from a top adviser of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman while still working at Twitter, an FBI agent testified at his criminal trial on Friday.

The testimony came from FBI supervisory agent Letitia Wu, who discussed some of the evidence collected during the investigation via subpoena and search warrants, including telephone records and business and bank documents.
