Reynders: There’s been ‘good evolution’ on data flow discussion with US

The Washington Post reports European Union Justice Commissioner Didier Reynders said he wants to work with U.S. regulators to better protect consumers online. Reynders, who met with U.S. regulators during a trip to Washington last week, also said the two sides are making progress on issues like trans-Atlantic data flows to replace the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield. “We will try to see if it’s possible to have a political, clear vision before the end of the year,� Reynders said, adding there has been “a good evolution in a very difficult and sensitive issue.�
