Professionals skeptical of Facebook's ability to change

The Washington Post reports on the likelihood of facial recognition’s return to Facebook after announcing its closure last week. Though the company planned to nix the program and its data for almost a year, aiming to rebuild Meta with privacy in mind, Andrew Bosworth, vice president of augmented and virtual reality at Facebook and soon-to-be chief technologist, proposed against cutting the tech in favor of implementing it into metaverse development.
