Jourová ‘not satisfied’ with GDPR enforcement

European Commission Vice President for Values and Transparency Věra Jourová said she is “not satisfied� with EU General Data Protection Regulation enforcement, adding “we see gaps,� Bloomberg reports. Jourová noted some data protection authorities are understaffed, lack sufficient budgets and are not supported by government. Jourova said GDPR’s “decentralized system for enforcement� was “meant to be a strong tool,� but if it does not work, she said, “then we will have to propose changes.�
