Highlights of the data protection memorandum between Brazil, Spain

On Oct. 5, the data protection authorities of Brazil and Spain issued a joint memorandum outlining an interagency collaboration project to share institutional resources, expertise and experience. The memorandum marks the first international collaboration for the Brazilian DPA since the nation’s General Data Protection Law went into effect. IAPP Westin Research Fellow Samuel Adams breaks down the contents of the memorandum and looks at its highlights, including commitments and goals.
