By Allison Grande (March 18, 2022, 10:23 PM EDT) — An Arizona federal judge has refused to toss a putative class action accusing mortgage originator loanDepot of placing illegal robocalls, agreeing with the Sixth Circuit and at least 40 other district courts that have rejected the argument that the federal ban on such calls was invalid during the five years that that government debt collections were exempt from the law.
