Google warns small business about its concerns with antitrust bills

Axios reports Google is warning advertising partners about what proposed U.S. antitrust bills may do to their businesses. Google reportedly sent emails to small- and medium-sized companies regarding legislation circulating in U.S. Congress that could “cost your business time and money,” aiming to create more opposition to the proposed bills. A Google spokesperson said the work by Congress could stymie businesses that used Google’s advertising tools to “adapt, recover and reach new customers throughout the pandemic.”
