Euractiv reports Members of European Parliament are moving closer to agreements on points of contention within the proposed Digital Services Act. One of the contested topics is how to shape rules around targeted advertising, with MEPs reportedly compromising on a limited ban on targeting. The partial ban would be limited to commercial uses on minors, but conversations regarding best practices for age verification are ongoing. The amended rules also include required consent for data processing associated with targeted ads.
