Dominion Voting Wants Pro-Trump Atty's Counterclaim Axed

By Victoria McKenzie (November 16, 2021, 4:55 PM EST) — Dominion Voting Systems asked a D.C. federal judge to dismiss pro-Trump attorney Sidney Powell’s counterclaim against the company, that it sought to “punish” her after she voiced legitimate concerns about its election machine integrity.

The company argued that filing a lawsuit is not an abuse of process, regardless of motive. In fact, Dominion told the court in a filing Monday, the court recognized that the company’s defamation claims “are properly based on Powell’s statements” when it denied her motions to dismiss the lawsuit earlier this year.
