9th Circ. Won't Revive Terror Aid Suits Against Tech Giants

By Christopher Cole (January 4, 2022, 7:20 PM EST) — The full Ninth Circuit has rejected bids to revive suits against Facebook, Google and Twitter for allegedly aiding terror attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, California, that a split panel dismissed last year under the federal liability shield for tech companies.

The appeals court allowed a third lawsuit to proceed, however, alleging liability for allowing their users to post content in support of terrorist activity leading up to a deadly attack in Istanbul.
